All but one of the 19 players receiving non-roster invites from the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday saw time with the Vancouver Canadians.

C's Recap

A total of 10 pitchers and eight position players with a connection to Monty’s Mounties will be heading to Dunedin, Florida for the Blue Jays major league camp looking to make a good impression for the brass. The years the players were with the C’s are in parentheses.

Pitchers

  • RHP Andrew Bash (2021)
  • LHP Jimmy Burnette (2022)
  • RHP Connor Cooke (2022-2023)
  • RHP Chad Dallas (2022-2023)
  • LHP Brandon Eisert (2021)
  • LHP Mason Fluharty (2022-2023)
  • RHP Devereaux Harrison (2022-2023)
  • RHP Ryan Jennings (2023)
  • RHP Hayden Juenger (2021)
  • LHP Ricky Tiedemann (2022)

Tiedemann is the number one prospect in the Jays system and he is expected to be the first to reach Toronto in 2024. Cooke made it to Triple-A Buffalo last season and if he gets off to a good start with the Herd, he could make it to Toronto before Tiedemann.

Position Players

  • C Zach Britton (2021)
  • C Phil Clarke (2019, 2021)
  • INF Luis De Los Santos (2019, 2021)
  • OF Cam Eden (2019, 2021-2022)
  • INF Damiano Palmegiani (2022)
  • OF Will Robertson (2019, 2021)
  • OF Alan Roden (2023)
  • C Andrés Sosa (2022-2023)

Eden made it to Toronto at the end of last season but who will be next? It could be Palmegiani as the Surrey slugger spent time with New Hampshire and Buffalo in 2023 or Roden who had a breakout year with Vancouver and Manchester.

Pitchers and catchers will report to Dunedin February 14 followed by the rest of the squad on February 19. The Blue Jays first spring game is February 24 against the Philadelphia Phillies in Dunedin.
