Here is, hopefully, a comprehensive look at all Vancouver Canadians-related happenings that took place at the tail end of the 2025 regular season and the offseason. Years in parentheses indicate when the player, manager or coach was with Monty’s Mounties.
2025

August 22 – Lexington Legends of the Atlantic League sign OF Dylan Rock (2024).
August 24 – C’s take five of six against Tri-City at Nat Bailey Stadium in a series featuring a walkoff home run from Sean Keys, a three-run tiebreaking eighth inning home run by Hayden Gilliland and a combined shutout from Silvano Hechavarría and Juanmi Vasquez.
Toronto Blue Jays assign LHP Mason Fluharty (2022-2023) to Triple-A Buffalo and recall RHP from Triple-A Buffalo.
August 25 – Toronto Blue Jays sign LHP Ryan Borucki (2014-2015) to a minor league contract.
August 29 – Evansville Otters of the Frontier League trade LHP Braden Scott (2022-2023) to the York Revolution of the Atlantic League.
August 31 – The C’s beat the Hillsboro Hops 11-1 in the final Northwest League game played at Hillsboro Ballpark.
Philadelphia Phillies claim LHP Tim Mayza (2014) off waivers from Pittsburgh Pirates and activate him September 1.
September 1 – RHP Austin Cates is named the Northwest League Pitcher of the Week for August 25-31 after turning in 12 shutout frames with 17 strikeouts and zero walks against the host Hillsboro Hops.
September 2 – Toronto Blue Jays select the contract of LHP Ryan Borucki from Triple-A Buffalo.
September 4 – RHP Jackson Wentworth sets single season franchise record with 124 innings and 116 strikeouts in win against Everett.
September 5 – 3B/1B Sean Keys sets C’s single season franchise mark with his 19th home run of the season against Everett.
September 6 – Vancouver Canadians announce their year-end player awards.

September 11 – Toronto Blue Jays designate 2B Orelvis Martinez (2021) for assignment + activate RHP Alek Manoah (2019) from 60-day injured list and assign to Triple-A Buffalo.
September 15 – RHP Trey Yesavage makes major league debut with five innings of one-run ball and nine strikeouts at Tampa Bay.
September 16 – Philadelphia Phillies recall 2B Rafael Lantigua (2021) but did not see the field.
September 18 – Toronto Blue Jays outright LHP Ryan Borucki to Triple-A Buffalo. Lexington Legends of the Atlantic League sign RHP Clinton Hollon (2015).

September 20 – Toronto Blue Jays recall LHP Mason Fluharty (2022-2023) from Triple-A Buffalo + Baltimore Orioles RHP José Espada (2017-2018) pitched three shutout innings of one-hit ball and struck out four New York Yankees at Camden Yards.
September 23 – Miami Marlins OF Griffin Conine (2018) hits a home run in his first game back after dislocating left shoulder in late April, helping the Marlins come back to beat Philadelphia at Citizens Bank Park.
September 24 – Washington Nationals sign 2B Orelvis Martinez to a minor league contract.
September 26 – Atlanta claims RHP Alek Manoah off waivers three days after being designated for assignment by Toronto.
September 27 – RHP Trey Yesavage earns first MLB win with five shutout frames and five strikeouts against Tampa Bay.
October 5 – RHP Trey Yesavage fans 11 and walks one over 5.1 shutout innings to earn the win in Game 2 of the American League Divisional Series against the New York Yankees. OF Davis Schneider (2019, 2021-2022) goes 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored.
October 8 – 3B Addison Barger goes 3-for-5 + LHP Mason Fluharty gives up a run but strikes out three in one inning to help the Toronto Blue Jays win the clinching Game 4 of the American League Division Series against the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium.
October 15 – 3B Addison Barger homers and LHP Mason Fluharty pitches a scoreless ninth with one strikeout to complete Game 3 win of the American League Championship Series against the Mariners in Seattle.
October 19 – OF Addison Barger contributes RBI single and two-run home run + RHP Trey Yesavage gives up two runs over 5.2 innings and strikes out seven to get the win in Game 6 of the American League Championship Series against the Seattle Mariners.
October 20 – OF Addison Barger singles and draws leadoff walk in seventh inning, scoring on George Springer’s three-run home run in Game 7 win of the ALCS against Seattle at the SkyDome.

October 20 – Houston Astros sign RHP Nate Pearson (2017) to a one-year, $1.3 million contract after being designated for assignment by the Chicago Cubs.
October 24 – Addison Barger belts pinch-hit grand slam and goes 2-for-2 + LHP Mason Fluharty pitches 0.2IP of scoreless ball with a strikeout in Game 1 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers at the SkyDome.
October 28 – RF Addison Barger goes 2-for-5 with an RBI single and LHP Mason Fluharty earns a hold by stranding two runners by retiring the only two hitters he faced, including an inning-ending strikeout of Tommy Edman in Game 4 victory at Dodger Stadium.

October 29 – OF Davis Schneider homers on the first pitch of the game and draws a walk + RHP Trey Yesavage gives up just one run over seven innings and punches out 12 Los Angeles Dodgers to get the win in Game 5 at Dodger Stadium.
November 2 – RHP Miguel Castro (2014) elected free agency from Chicago White Sox.
November 18 – Toronto Blue Jays select the contract of LHP Ricky Tiedemann (2022) and Minnesota Twins select the contract of LHP Kendry Rojas (2024).
November 25 – Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks acquire RHP Mark Simon (2022) from the Ottawa Titans of the Frontier League for cash.
November 26 – Boston Red Sox sign SS Vinny Capra (2018) to a minor league contract and St. Louis Cardinals sign RHP Sem Robberse (2021-2022) to a minor league contract.
November 29 – Los Angeles Angels sign LHP Angel Perdomo (2015) to minor league contract.
December 2 – Los Angeles Angels sign RHP Alek Manoah (2019) to a one-year, $1.95 million contract and Atlanta signs LHP Danny Young (2015) to a split contract due to recovery from Tommy John surgery.
December 10 – Minnesota Twins select RHP Sam Ryan (2022-2023) + OF Garrett Spain (2022-2023) in Triple-A phase of Rule 5 Draft.
December 11 – Milwaukee Brewers sign Oakville, Ontario native OF Dasan Brown (2022-2024) to a minor league contract.
December 12 – Toronto Blue Jays trade LHP Johan Simón (2025) to Detroit Tigers for RHP Chase Lee.
December 15 – The Ottawa Titans of the Frontier League exercise contract options for RHPs Brett Garcia (2025) + Mark Simon.

December 18 – Texas Rangers sign RHP Patrick Murphy (2016) to a minor league contract.
December 21 – Minnesota Twins sign RHP Luis Quiñones (2019, 2021) to minor league contract.
December 30 – Los Angeles Angels sign LHP Tayler Saucedo (2015) to a minor league contract.

January 9 – Washington Nationals claim RHP Paxton Schultz (201)off waivers from Toronto Blue Jays + Baltimore Orioles assign OF Will Robertson (2019, 2021) to Triple-A Norfolk after claiming him off waivers from the Pittsburgh Pirates on December 5 (Pirates had claimed Robertson off waivers from the Chicago White Sox on October 13).
January 12 – The Toronto Blue Jays release RHPs Justin Kelly (2022-2023) + Brett Garcia (2025), LHP JJ Sánchez (2024-2025) + C Peyton Powell (2025).

February 9 – Vancouver Canucks and Vancouver Mounties broadcaster Jim Robson passes away at the age of 91 after a battle with cancer.

March 10 – Cleveland Guardians sign Grimsby, Ontario native INF Bryce Arnold (2024-2025) to a minor league contract. Kansas City Monarchs of the American Association sign OF Cam Eden (2019, 2021-2022).
March 11 – INF Otto López goes 2-for-4 with a walk and two-run single + LHP Adam Macko strands two runners by recording a strikeout in one-third of a scoreless inning to help Canada defeat Cuba 7-2 and advance to the quarterfinals of the WBC.
March 13 – Vancouver Canadians announce they will give out bobbleheads of INF Addison Barger on June 9 and RHP Trey Yesavage on August 25.
March 14 – The Toronto Blue Jays announce their 2025 Player Development Award Winners:

March 21 – C Robert Brooks (2025) + RHP Julio Ortiz (2025) are released by the Toronto Blue Jays + RHP Lazaro Estrada is assigned to Triple-A Buffalo.

LHP Ryan Borucki signs a one-year deal with the San Francisco Giants one day after being released by the Chicago White Sox.
March 22 – RHP Yosver Zulueta assigned to Triple-A Tacoma by the Seattle Mariners, OF Alan Roden (2023) assigned to Triple-A St.Paul by the Minnesota Twins + OF Steward Berroa is placed on the 10-day injured list with a right shoulder strain.
Philadelphia Phillies sign LHP Tim Mayza to a one-year deal.
March 23 – 1B Rowdy Tellez signs minor league deal with Atlanta.
Quebec City, Quebec native C Nic Deschamps signs with the Quebec Capitales of the Frontier League.
March 25 – OFs Addison Barger + Davis Schneider and LHP Mason Fluharty are named to the Toronto Blue Jays Opening Day roster.
RHP Grant Rogers (2024-2025) gets the Opening Day Assignment for the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
RHPs Hunter Gregory (2022-2023) + Connor Cooke (2022-2023) are released by the Toronto Blue Jays and designate INF Leo Jiménez for assignment. The Jays also place RHP Trey Yesavage on 15-day injured list.
Houston Astros place RHP Nate Pearson and Atlanta places LHP Danny Young on the 15-day injured list with elbow injuries.
Atlanta releases RHP Sean Reid-Foley.
March 27 – Toronto Blue Jays place LHP Ricky Tiedemann + RHP Ryan Jennings on the seven-day injured list. Minnesota Twins place Kendry Rojas on seven-day injured list, Los Angeles Dodgers place RHP Nick Frasso on seven-day injured list.
