The Vancouver Canadians evened up their six-game series against the Tri-City Dust Devils with a 3-0 victory at Gesa Stadium Wednesday.

Canadians starter Chad Dallas walked Kyren Paris to start the bottom of the first before retiring the next 15 batters he faced, striking out eight of them.. Jol Concepcion continued the no-hitter into the seventh inning but a one-out single by Mike Peabody to Miguel Hiraldo at second base spoiled the no-hit bid. Hiraldo knocked it down with a dive but could not make a play. Peabody was taken care of when catcher Andrés Sosa threw him out trying to steal second. Concepcion struck out three in two innings while Jimmy Burnette whiffed the last six batters he faced. He overcame an error at short by Leo Jiménez that allowed Osmy Gregorio to reach base and a Francisco Del Valle walk to start the eighth inning.
The C’s broke out on top when Addison Barger tripled to right field off Dust Devils starter Robinson Pina and came in to score on Trevor Schwecke‘s one-out single to right.
Schwecke started the fifth inning rally when he was hit by pitch with one out from Tri-City reliever Zak Kristofak. A Garrett Spain base on balls and a Sosa HBP loaded the bases for Zach Britton. The former Louisville Cardinal proved Zach was better Zak by lining a single to left to drive in Schwecke and Spain.
C-Notes

Vancouver had just four hits and four walks in the game. Schwecke was on base three times with a walk and a hit by pitch. Britton reached twice when he was hit by pitch and Riley Tirotta had the other base hit. Barger had a stolen base to go along with his triple. Jiménez and Miguel Hiraldo got on base via the base on balls.
Peabody—who broke up the no-hitter in the seventh—did not start the game. He replaced Jordyn Adams in center field in the bottom of the first inning after Adams injured his ankle.
Britton was the first Vancouver player to get on base when he was hit by a pitch in the second inning. Schwecke was thrown out trying to steal second after his RBI single.
Jiménez worked a one-out walk in the fourth but was erased on a 6-4-3 double play off the bat of Britton..
The sixth inning began with a Riley Tirotta single but Barger hit into a 4-6 fielder’s choice to erase Tirotta. Barger stole second and Hiraldo walked but Barger was picked off at second by Kristofak. Schwecke then walked and moved up a base along with Hiraldo on a wild pitch but Spain struck out. Those were the last two baserunners of the game for Vancouver as the Dust Devils relief corp was perfect through three innings.
The Canadians send Adam Kloffenstein righthander Hunter Gregory to the hill for his season debut in the third game of this six-game set. First pitch is at 6:30 pm on CanadiansBaseball.com.
