The Vancouver Canadians were embarrassed 13-0 by the Spokane Indians at Avista Stadium on Thursday.

RBI doubles to left field by GJ Hill and Jesus Bugarin in the second inning off Vancouver starter Connor O’Halloran keyed a three-run rally.

After a Dyan Jorge RBI infield single to second in the fourth, O’Halloran would give up a home run to Kyle Karros to right field to open the top of the fifth. Alex Amalfi later took over on the mound and surrendered two more runs on a Bugarin RBI groundout to second and a Jean Perez single to left to make it 7-0 Spokane.

After scoring another run against Amalfi in the sixth, Hill greeted Geison Urbaez with a home run to right field to start the seventh. Perez would add an RBI triple to center to up the lead to 10-0 in the midst of another three-run inning.

Perez finished the scoring with a two-run double to right off Aaron Munson in the eighth.

Jay Harry started the game with an infield hit to second base off Spokane starter Michael Prosecky. Harry would be forced out on an around-the-horn double play by Peyton Williams who was unable to extend his hitting streak that ended at 13 games.

A Jacob Sharp walk in the second was stranded and Harry drew a walk in the third with two outs but was caught stealing second by Bryant Betancourt on a 2-4 play.

The C’s loaded the bases in the fifth inning with Sharp singling to left and Brennan Orf drawing a walk with one out and Marcos De La Rosa reaching base on an infield single to third but Prosecky ended his night by striking out Harry.

A Je’Von Ward two-out single to right off Braxton Hyde was stranded in the sixth. a Harry one-out double to right in the eighth off Luis Amoroso was left on and a Ward single to left off Bryson Hammer to start the ninth was eliminated by Nick Goodwin hitting into a 6-4-3 double play. Sharp then fouled out to first to end the game.

Kendry Rojas will try to right the ship for Vancouver in a 6:35 p.m. game at Avista Stadium on Friday. The game is on CanadiansBaseball.com and MiLB.TV.
