Nate Pearson will need to stay hydrated in 2018 as he will be pitching in Dunedin to begin the season. The three 2017 Vancouver Canadians rated among the Top 20 prospects in the Toronto Blue Jays system by Baseball America will be together again. The trio of righthander Nate Pearson, shortstop Logan Warmoth and catcher Riley Adams will skip Lansing and get their full-season debut with the defending Florida State League co-champion Dunedin Blue Jays. The Vancouver Canadians could not build on the momentum of Thursday’s series opening victory as they suffered a 12-6 loss Friday night at Volcanoes Stadium. The latest setback was the 10th in their last 13 contests. They got help from the Eugene Emeralds as they defeated the Tri-City Dust Devils at home. Reggie Pruitt had two hits and two stolen bases against Hillsboro Sunday. The Vancouver Canadians combined a lack of clutch hitting with poor baserunning and that was too much to overcome as they dropped a 6-1 decision to the Hillsboro Hops at Nat Bailey Stadium Sunday afternoon.
