C’s Alumni Update – Labourt & Barreto Together Again, Then Apart Again

A couple of 2014 Vancouver Canadians were back together again briefly. 2013-2014 C’s left-hander Jairo Labourt and shortstop Franklin Barreto were reunited when the Oakland Athletics claimed Labourt earlier this spring but Labourt returned to the Detroit Tigers on a minor league deal. He threw 12 pitches, getting a called strikeout … Continue reading C’s Recap – Eight Not Enough For C’s In Hillsboro

C’s Recap – Volcanoes Blow Out Vancouver

Kacy Clemens drove in four of Vancouver’s six runs in Salem-Keizer Friday. The Vancouver Canadians could not build on the momentum of Thursday’s series opening victory as they suffered a 12-6 loss Friday night at Volcanoes Stadium. The latest setback was the 10th in their last 13 contests. They got help from the Eugene Emeralds as they defeated the Tri-City Dust Devils at home. That means the C’s maintain their one-game lead in the North Division and their magic number is down to one. A C’s win or a Dust Devils loss would give Vancouver the first-half division title. The … Continue reading C’s Recap – Volcanoes Blow Out Vancouver
